Alas my cat is dead....my little Sweet Pea...the sweetest cat I have ever had.
I came home yesterday from a Beach Day at school with over 800 people to find my cat missing. I live on the 50th floor. It is hard for a cat to go missing....unless.....she fell...
Oh the horror! My cat was discovered on the 26th floor. The guard of the building asked if I wanted to see the body, but I couldn't bear it.
Thank you my Sweet Pea for loving me, for greeting me at the door every day, for rubbing your head on my feet, for jumping in my lap and sleeping, for purring, for comforting me when I needed you most....
I started this blog for when I was teaching in China. Then I moved to Hong Kong and taught second grade for five years. After seven years in Asia, it was time for me to return to my country. These are my adventures of living, working and repatriating myself.

Continued notes from Asia(TMI)
So on the note of observations from HK and China from four years ago, I also had written some other things....these things are my personal desires...and I have journals filled with things like these, but alas many of the dreams are but dreams and desires...it is hard to let go of your dreams...time to find new dreams, but how long can your heart continue like this? My heart is a heart of gold...refined through many trials, many tears, many tests of endurance....that heart is for one person only...
Man-I want a man in my life.
Husband.
Loving, kind, gentle, thinking of me.
Communicating his love. Speaking his love.
Acting his love. Giving his love freely.
Likes to dance.
Wants to go do things with me.
Takes initiative and plans.
Generous to me and to others.
Studies and knows more than I do.
Hard working, but has a job that he loves to do and won't exhaust him.
He'll love to travel.
God I really want to have a little girl. This little 4 year old girl came where I was. She was so cute. Purple fuzzy dress. Pink stockings. A striped turtleneck. Two little half pigtails. Cutest face. Her name was Jasmine.
I'm finding myself missing Seattle. I miss the people. The Northwest feel. The dress. The look. The ferries, The mountains. The Puget Sound. God I love where I am from. Where I grew up. Lord I would love to marry someone who would want to settle down in a beautiful place like Seattle. The world is a big place with so many people.
My dream--marry a super smart, intelligent, educated, social, handsome, sexy man who loves me and wants to make a life with me.

Notes from Asia
Cleaning out some things in a desk and found this old note. It was some observations of HK and China over four years ago.
Hong Kong multicultural bustling city.
People everywhere and they don't stare.
Traffic, buses, taxis, trains, subways, people!
Buildings tower, air conditioners, iron bars, glass, city, old....
Are people healthy?
China
my county that I love. The people are so beautiful.
Alone,
struggling.
Big, huge everywhere.
People and taxis.
Buildings and road gardeners.
Flowers, trees,
beauty controlled.
How can I help the people of China?
I do not speak their language.
I can offer a smile.
Robbed,
control from the government.
Loud people, yelling, talking.
What am I doing?

Mother's Day Tea
Mother's Day Tea is a big celebration at my school. All the classes prepare a special performance and gift for their moms. We believe in appreciating the moms. This year I was the MC for the performances. In the classroom you can see 22 children squished together with 22 mommies. It was a special time for moms and children to talk and bond together.

The Sounds of a Family
So my skype video hasn't been working lately. Every time I have skyped with my sister and her family or my parents I haven't been able to see them. In some ways this has been frustrating, because I love seeing my family and dear ones. Seeing them across the distance helps them feel closer and like you aren't so far away.
Well I was skyping last night with my sister and again I could not see her and the babies, but I could hear them. Lot's of funny baby talking going on that you can tell is communication even though it makes absolutely no sense. Lot's of playing noises and then whining noises too. hahah
My sister started playing the piano and singing. It was so beautiful. Yes, I may have not been able to see, but I could hear all those wonderful sounds. And the wonderful sounds comforted me, because they are the sounds of a family. When you live alone you don't have the sounds of other people in your daily life unless it is your neighbors baby crying, dog barking or late night piano practicing. Listening to those sounds comforted me, because it reminded me of when I was apart of a family and all the crazy family daily life noises that bustle about you. It made me feel like I was home.
Living alone has it's benefits, especially in a city of 8 million people...you gotta have your solitude. However, I am a family person and not having my own family creating their own family noises makes me a little sad. I surely never thought I would still be single, living alone in a foreign country at the very soon age of 34. I am so grateful for what God has chosen to give me, but if I had, had my way in the 3 past dead and over relationships, then I would be surrounded by babies and arguments and whining and dogs barking and piano practicing and lawn mowers...the sounds of a family...a family of my own.

How to Sweat Like a Swede
So today I did something so fun!!!! I did HEYAROBICS! It's a super duper fun swedish exercise. I met a group of random people at Victoria Park in Hong Kong. We did crazy arobics to funky loud music in the grass in the park. Running, squats, jumping, punching the air, dancing, pushups to Darth Vader music. I had great fun. Smiles, yelling and shouting were seen and heard amid the music and exercise. I left one giant sweaty mess, but my heart was happy. It was fun to be crazy in a public park dancing and exercising while random onlookers took pictures and laughed. I think I will be a HEYAROBICS addict:) If you want to find out more, then click on the link.

Mission Trip to Pailin, Cambodia
Over the Easter holiday I travelled to Cambodia with 3 other teachers from my school. Our mission was to go to the rural school in Pailin and train the local teachers and instruct the children in geometry lessons, Bible lessons, art and P.E. lessons. It was my first experience to work in a school with no running water or electricity. The students were so sweet and respectful. Here is a link to a slideshow I made of the pictures.
