I started this blog for when I was teaching in China. Then I moved to Hong Kong and taught second grade for five years. After seven years in Asia, it was time for me to return to my country. These are my adventures of living, working and repatriating myself.

Packing and Moving
So here I am in Ellensburg, visiting some college friends, saying farewells. It is bittersweet to say goodbye and visit a place I haven't seen in 2 years. So many memories it seems a lifetime ago. Yesterday I finally found a storage unit for my stuff while I'm overseas. I'm so grateful for the storage unit. Never thought I'd put stuff in a storage unit, but moving over seas was something I never thought would happen either. As I've been going through old papers I've had since elementary school through college I discovered I'd kept all my calculus homework and tests from college. Eegads! Why did I keep that. I look at it now and it's like looking at a foreign language. Anyways I was able to purge many pointless pieces of papers and feel quite cleansed. Still have much more packing and prep to leave for China, but it is nice to spend this weekend down memory lane with friends.
