BBQ on Lantau

Lantau Island is the island that you would fly into if you ever come to Hong Kong.  It is a quite beautiful and isolated island with many beaches and mountains that you can hike.  My good friends Matet and Matthias live on the island.  They recently had a nice little BBQ by the beach.  Nothing like Phillippino BBQ with Italian wine, good conversations, and fun pictures by the beach.

Charlie's Angels

Friday was a fun day at school.  On Fun Days you get to dress up in the theme.  The theme this time was a movie character.  So I got three teachers together to dress up as Charlie's Angels.  It was lots of fun.  What do you think?  Do we look like the angels?

I went surfing for the first time in Hong Kong.  It was a blast.  The surfing season is in the winter.  So we had to wear wet suits.  The temperature was around 59F.  At first I was a little intimidated, but I had to get used to the crashing waves.  Once I was used to it then it was exhilarating.  It is you and the elements.  You have to learn how to use the power of the elements to surf.  My group was awesome to go with.  Afterwards we had a nice Hong Kong style lunch/dinner at a local surf place.  Very fun and I will be out in the waves again soon.
