A Night at the Peak

The same day I went to Cheung Chau I drove up to the Peak with my friend Keena. She's been awesome to show me the roads of HK. It was a lovely night; full moon, perfect temperature. At the Peak I got some amazing ice cream; bailys and cappuccinno flavors. Yum!

Cheung Chau

So for the Mid Autumn Festival I had a holiday. I went to Cheung Chau Island with my two buddies. It was my first ride on my vespa over to Central on HK Island to catch the Star Ferry to an outlying island. The island was so relaxing; only foot traffic or bicycles. We wandered the streets shopping and watching people. Went for a swim in the water. I had some yummy fresh made potato chips. They were amazing. It was a great, relaxing holiday.

Random Spottings in HK at Night

Random pics of HK at night. Continuing the walk along Lan Kwai Fong road we saw some random things. I spotted some graffitti. It was of a chicken. Some people were painting a wall. And you can see the famous Bank of China building and HSBC buildings.

A Freezer in a Bar?

After the celebratory dinner Keena and I walked around SOHO. She showed me this Russian bar that has a freezer in it. People can dress up in fur coats, go into the freezer and drink their Vodka. An interesting idea for those missing the cold. Brrrrr!

Celebratory Dinner

I officially have my HK driving license. So my friend Keena and I went out to SOHO for a lovely celebratory dinner. We ate at this Lebanese restaurant. The food was yummy!

SOHO

So SOHO is a famous European hangout in Hong Kong. Lots of amazing cuisine. It's ritzier, ambient dining.

Little Cart Guys

The way trash is hauled around HK is interesting. People push it on these little trollies. In China people have bicycles with a cart attached to carry garbage around from place to place.

On Sunday I walked around Central and Wan Chai area. There are fruit stands and news stands everywhere. Check out the guy sleeping on the left at the news stand.

Banana Grams

For those who know me you know I have a thing for Bananas. To me they are the funniest thing. Ever since high school I have made banana jokes. My first car I named the Blue Banana. I was constantly drawing cartoons of Mr. Banana says. So I was so happy to discover Banana Grams. My Aunt Neah gave the game to me as a gift when I visited her in Kentucky.

I brought my good German violin with me to HK. I'm teaching some students who followed me from China on the weekends. They come down from China. I was quite surprised they wanted to do that, but grateful and touched.
